Jugra
Mesmerizing Beauty of Jugra, the Former Royal Capital of Selangor

Jugra Hill will bring all visitors to a journey of natural wonders and historical artistry; showcasing its well-preserved buildings, alongside panoramic views of the Straits of Malacca, as well as the green scenery of a Permanent Reserved Forest around the hill.

It exudes the charm of historical sites and buildings, such as the Insitu Jugra Museum, a bunker-like Ammunition Store, the Old Well of Jugra, and the Abandoned Jugra Palace – leaving each visitor in awe of the former royal capital of Selangor.

Even with the richness of history in this secluded hill in Kuala Langat, Jugra Hill is more known as a hotspot for adrenaline-pumping activities. A very convenient spot for nature lovers, Jugra Hill provides an easy but challenging trail from the entry point near Masjid al-Muttaqin to the monumental Jugra Lighthouse – an approximately 1-hour hike to the top. The hike is a bit steep, but you will be accompanied by green sceneries along the way. Upon reaching the top, the view will be much more rewarding! The Jugra Lighthouse marks the end of your hike, so what’s next?

If you are hungry for more adventure, fret not – Jugra Hill is also famous for its paragliding spot. Push your limits and let the fear of heights lingers away. Paragliding will let you reach a new level of satisfaction, with the breeze of air flowing around your body, and the adrenaline spikes in your system – all of these and more while you are appreciating a one-of-a-kind scenery across Jugra.

"If you find yourself falling in love with the height, make sure to take it to the next level..."

The paragliding activity will take you on open air for around 10-15 minutes. Don’t worry, the activity is safe for all as it is performed by experienced personnel. Before you suit up and get ready to be tucked into the harness, a brief explanation of the journey will be given by an expert. The harness can take up to 240 kg of load (depending on the harness), and your harness will be attached to the paraglider and the instructor in charge. Now, go on, get flying!

The feeling of being elevated to a very high point (up to 400 feet), with your feet dangling in the air will be surreal. Up there, you are free to scream at the top of your lungs. Make sure to capture your experience on tape as the flying moments in Jugra will be one of your highlights in Malaysia.

If you find yourself falling in love with the height, make sure to take it to the next level by signing up for the Student Pilot Course. The course will enable you to fly solo and experience a more awesome, liberating moment in your harness.
